Our mother who art in heaven...

The good old Church of England has "no theological objections to women bishops" but is going to keep them out until 2012 just to be on the safe side and even then offer alternatives for parishes who don't fancy the idea. Still I suppose that since the church has been oppressing women for centuries we should be grateful for the scraps offered from the table eh? I also find it amusing that the church, like most religions, has no consistent ideology whatsoever. Their rules are a mish-mash compromise of what most people seem to want...and they expect people to unquestioningly accept their nonsensical rules?

I'm wondering what is going to happen to some of the fantastic buildings when attendance shrinks to zero.

One in Ealing was turned into a nice block of flats and they rebuilt a smaller modern looing church across the street.

Well since Jesus disapproved of money-lenders and the rich presumably they will be donated to local poor communities. Unless of course the religious leaders think they somehow don't have to bother with adhering to the word of their own religious books. Which of course is half the reason attendances are so low, because people can see the hypocracy a mile off...
